WE-Africa

African conservation is suffering from a profound imbalance in our current leadership. While we strive to protect the diversity of our environment, we have overlooked the importance of diversity in our teams. Women for the Environment: Africa, “WE: Africa”, was created to remedy this imbalance by empowering women at the highest levels of African conservation to transform their own and others’ leadership, creating strong mixed-gender teams that will achieve greater conservation outcomes and amplify our collective impact across the continent.

WE-Africa is being launched by Pride Lion Conservation Alliance and a Leadership Council of nine African women conservation leaders. Our Leadership Council includes:
